Don Jung Memorial Cup – San Francisco 2017 September

The club have close ties to the gay wrestling clubs in the USA, which gives us the opportunity to compete on a world stage. Three wrestlers went to San Francisco to compete in 2011 Don Jung Memorial Cup, and thanks to lots of hard work fundraising by the whole club, wrestlers have competed in the 2012, 2013 and 2015 Cup. Club members would like to thank all our supporters for their help. Club members are now looking forward to this years event in September.

The Cup is named after Don Jung, who was the founder of the Golden Gate Wrestling Club in San Francisco and was pivotal to the success of the first Gay Games in 1982. Wrestling is the only sport to be officially sanctioned in every subsequent Gay Games.

We are planning to attend this years tournament to prepare us for the Paris Gay Games in 2018
